Rupert James?

We're thinking of Rupert James for this lo. What do you think, is it too close to the bear for teasing?
Other names we like are Hector or Jasper, but Rupert is the favourite.

I know a grown-up Rupert who is lovely but I'm afraid his name is a bit sore-thumbish. Sorry.

I love the name Rupert but DH vetoed it saying it was too posh and made him think of thick sloanes. If your DH doesn't make similarly unhelpful comments then go for it. Makes me think of Rupert Everett (drool) rather than Rupert the Bear.

Are you very posh? if so you might be able to get away with it. Otherwise your son will need a thick skin.

Rupert is a wet name. But Jasper is really nice.
