Amelia-Grace or Evie-Grace?

We already have 3 daughters with hyphonated names so dd4 will have the same (yes it's chavvy but we like it and yes dd4 has to!)
So the options at the moment seem to be
Amelia-Grace
Evie-Grace
Which goes better do you think?

Amelia-Grace

PhyllidaPoisson · 08/08/2008 14:51

Amelia Grace.

Why did you choose hyphenated names, just out of interest?

hotmama · 08/08/2008 14:51

I have an Evie and a Grace so am biased - Evie-Grace would be my choice!

They are Grace Isabel and Evie Harriet.

4andnotout · 08/08/2008 14:53

When i was pg with dd1, xp liked Mae and i liked Olivia so she became Olivia-Mae.

Amelia-Grace for me.

hw2004 · 08/08/2008 15:34

Amelia-Grace definately.

I haven't got anything against Evie but there are just soo many at the moment!!!

FranSanDisco · 08/08/2008 15:44

I like Evie Grace and was one of my choices for ds.

hotmama · 08/08/2008 15:47

I do know what you mean about Evie and Grace - there weren't many around (if any) when I chose the names - now there are loads - but isn't it just the way with names.

I know far more Amelia's.

Just go with what you like!

beanieb · 08/08/2008 15:48

why the Hyphen?

Ineedsomesleep · 08/08/2008 17:09

I reckon that Amelia is just as popular as Evie too. My friend named her child Evangelene a few years ago and is now gutted by the amount of Evie's about. Like you say, isn't that always the way!

Shitehawk · 08/08/2008 17:15

Amelia Grace rather than Evie Grace. Although I like Evie better than Amelia, I don't think it goes with Grace.

But I don't like either of them hyphenated - sorry!

princessglitter · 08/08/2008 17:23

I don't think either sounds chavvy with a hyphen, I just think it would be difficult to say as one name, the two names don't flow together. Evie-Grace better of the two.

3andnomore · 08/08/2008 19:08

Amelia Grace sounds better

AuntieMaggie · 08/08/2008 19:11

i like hyphenated names too but dp doesn't so either i'll have to get him drunk to agree with me or give up.

i like amelia-grace for your dd. i would've liked gracie-mae for mine...

CuckooClockWorkOrange · 08/08/2008 19:14

Amelia Grace flows better than Evie Grace, but I prefer Evie. Actually, I prefer Eve most of all.

No hyphen s'il vous plait.

Think I like Amelia-Grace better. Both are lovely names btw. I have an Elizabeth Grace - dh wouldn't let me have Grace as a first name, just in case she wasn't graceful ... she isn't but she's still gorgeous!

sophieandbelly · 08/03/2010 14:08

well i have an evie-grace and flows beautifully, its getting used to it! love love love love it and it wasnt that popular 3 yrs ago wen i named her, bit peeved that its so popular now but it is a cute name so what to expect!!! ha

i atcually like lily louisa for dc 2, and that well lily is very popular, but u no what she will always be the only evie/lily to me so just forget about whats popular etc and go with what u love!!!

diddl · 08/03/2010 14:09

Amelia Grace.

diddl · 08/03/2010 14:11

Oh, a v.old thread.
Looks as if OP did´t go for either judging by profile.

4andnotout · 08/03/2010 14:16

No we didn't, she didn't look like any of the names on our list when she was born but she did look like a Tilly so she is Tilly-Grace
