BlueDragonfly · 07/08/2008 11:57

i like it BUT would pronounce it eye-Zack which would get on my nerves telling everyone!

tokentotty · 07/08/2008 11:58

Are there other pronunciations ?

nancy75 · 07/08/2008 11:59

how else would you say it?

Bluestocking · 07/08/2008 12:01

Love it, and love Ike, the traditional American nickname for Isaac.

LynetteScavo · 07/08/2008 12:01

I love it.

BlueDragonfly · 07/08/2008 12:01

well there is here - are we oddballs?!

eye-zuch is the "norm" here

VictorianSqualor · 07/08/2008 12:13

I would say eye-zuch too.

belgo · 07/08/2008 12:14

I have never heard it pronounced 'eye zuch'.

Flier · 07/08/2008 12:16

i'd pronounce it like bludragonfly - IZac.

I really like it

Lovely name

laura325630 · 07/08/2008 12:27

I love it x Do you not pronounce it eye-zuk??

moondog · 07/08/2008 12:28

No
Too many Old Testament names around.

electra · 07/08/2008 12:35

Agree with moondog. Your choice though...

misdee · 07/08/2008 12:36

i love it.

dd2,3 and soon to be dd4 would've been isaac.

but it is becoming quite popular now, wasnt 6years ago when dd2 was due. so that does put me off a bit.

Jackstini · 07/08/2008 12:38

Like it a lot, although depends on your surname too

Sonnet · 07/08/2008 12:38

My dd2 would have been isaac ( not heard of many 8 years ago)
I love it

bikerunski · 07/08/2008 12:53

Love it. The one I know is nicknamed Zack.

moondog · 07/08/2008 12:55

Wonderful! (How is Peter?)

DanJARMouse · 07/08/2008 12:57

I think it's a beautiful name. (But then it's my ds name). Everyone calls him zak which i love too.

3andnomore · 07/08/2008 13:27

love the name Isaac....but would have never thought that it was pronounced eye-zik? doesn't really make sense to me.

lol hatrick how cam Ayo about then...not the obvious nickname choice....however, I actually know a bloke called Ayo....it's shortened from some name I could not pronounce, lol...but it started with Ayo....

frazzledoldbag34 · 07/08/2008 14:11

I quite like Isa for short?
I would pronounce Isaac as I-zuck not I-Zack.
Probably why I prefer Isa pronounced as Eye-Za (not I-Sa) obviously.
But hey, it's your baby, your baby name.

izzybiz · 07/08/2008 14:16

My Ds1 wants this name for my Ds2 due next month!
We pronounce it I-zuck here too, I think it rolls off the tongue easier than I-zack.
