Verity for a girl?

What do you think of the name Verity?

i love the name myself and hopin that my next baby is a girl i can her it 2 soon find out im expecting at christmas

I used to think it was a bit "posh" but then I met and became good friends with a Verity who is a lovely person -down to earth, would help anyone out, a genuine true friend....so, to me, it conjures up that sort of person.

It's a really pretty name.

Like it. I know three of them -- one aged 5, one around 40, one pensioner, and it suits them all, so I'd say it's a classic.

Verity makes me think of a lumbering adolescent in a Catholic school gymslip.

I like it. In fact I liek all those Victorian virtue names. Know a 4 year Verity. It's a quite feminine - unfortunately she's not!

it's a smashing name. it has a bit of dr who geekery attached though verity Lambert was the original producer of dr who and when the doctor was human, he said his mums name was 'verity'.
