I know am esmé, I like the name.

Not sure if it would be hard to keep saying "with and accent over the 'e'..."

hw2004 · 03/08/2008 21:24

It's my nan's name and I love it. Only thing is my grandad shortens it to Ez or Ezzie which i'm not sure about.

lovely name - my friend's dd is called Esme

IAteRosemaryConleyForBreakfast · 03/08/2008 21:48

Absolutely love the name and wanted it for DS before he turned out to be a he. DP said no (but only because in his part of the world it would be considered wanky, I think). Makes me think of J. D. Salinger's writing [wistful]

zebedee1 · 03/08/2008 21:48

gorgeous name (adds to list for fictitious DD)

nappyaddict · 03/08/2008 23:48

Gorgeous.

zazen · 04/08/2008 00:03

I love Esmé and Ezra as well!

Bit Notredame though: The bells the bells! Esmerelda!

And Terry Pratchet's Granny Weatherwax was also Esmerelda.

But I love Esmé.
