Is this old lady cool or just old lady?

They turn out cute (pics in profile)

Thanks for the link, LL. I hadnt heard that before and will play it around her. To my eternal shame, her favourite song at the moment is Agadoo and that is a considerable improvement.

bluenosesaint · 29/07/2008 15:38

I love Iris, met a woman at the park the other day and her dd was called it. I shall seriosly consider it if I ever have another dd.

wrinklytum · 30/07/2008 00:06

Irises are my favourite flowers, tall and elegant

I have nursed several Irises, they have either been very lovely and wellspoken or complete characters (i.e my fav was a miners wife, had dementia and nicked everyone elses false teeth, and would sing rude rugby songs at visiting times!)

I do think of it as an old lady name but also think it is very pretty when you think of the flower, and a lot of these flower names are coming back in fashion like Lily and Rose.

chipmonkey · 30/07/2008 00:08

See, I just think it's the coloured part of the eye. But I'm an optometrist, hazard of the job!

thumbwitch · 30/07/2008 00:14
