Not sure where this one has come from but it suddenly occured to me the other night. DH doesn't like it so probably wouldn't get my way and I do worry it sounds like a dog's name.

any thoughts?

sandy4 · 28/07/2008 15:16

eastenders

hw2004 · 28/07/2008 15:17

oh you're right Sandy4, i'd forgotten that baby on eastenders was called Oscar. Mind you it's ever such a good baby - you never hear a peep out of it

Hulababy · 28/07/2008 17:03

I quite like Oscar as a name.

KaySamuels · 28/07/2008 17:11

my sis just called her baby oscar, I like it

didn't know there was one in eastenders don't watch it.

tullytwo · 28/07/2008 17:14

Ds 2 has it as his middle name - he just didnt look like an Oscar when he was born but I really liked it so kept it as his middle nema - I like it!

NicMac · 28/07/2008 18:04

I have an Oscar and truly love it, don't watch EastEnders! Quite original but not too outlandish in my opinion

hana · 28/07/2008 18:07

have a gorgeous little friend (he is 3!) called Oscar. suits him perfectly

MingMingtheWonderPet · 28/07/2008 18:08

I love it!

LynetteScavo · 28/07/2008 18:12

I love it

Becoming very popular though

notasheep · 28/07/2008 18:19

A dogs name or a film award

hw2004 · 28/07/2008 18:55

yes notasheep, i have worried about it being a dog's name. However, DH won't let me have Toby as he thinks it's a cats name - sigh!

I know a totally scrummy Oscar, we call him Osky..... he is the most wonderful little boy you could hope to meet.

hw2004 · 28/07/2008 19:00

I love it, love it, love it.

Twatty dp wouldn't let me have it for ds though. I forget his reasoning but stupidly I listened to him (well, not stupidly, ds's name is lovely... it's just not Oscar)

mamalovesmojitos · 28/07/2008 20:59

dont like it - sorry! . though it is very popular so i'm probably in the minority.

CakeForSanitysSake · 28/07/2008 21:01

I have a dog called Oscar, but still love the name though.
Love Toby as well - was on my list of names, but wasn't liked by anyone else!

babyOcho · 28/07/2008 21:03

There was a baby Oscar in Neighbours as well. Ozzie, from Aussie!

cafebistro · 28/07/2008 21:04

I love this name...wanted to call ds this but dp put his foot down and refused...still wish i'd used it as a middle name though.
