I like it, DH does and most important my dearest mother gives it her seal of approval!

What the general opinion on it though as I haven't heard it used very often?

I had a childhood friend called Guy - I adored him, and have always loved the name since.

LongLiveGreenElizabeth · 27/07/2008 23:20

ranting, I thought that earlier!

'my Guy' (so to speak) drives a soft top Audi TT

ranting · 27/07/2008 23:26

Well the one I know was fairly gorgeous, I have to say, although not my type (too clean cut). I like my men with a 'touch of the night' about them

I think it's a great name. I have a close relative called Guy.

janeashersbookofspacecakes · 27/07/2008 23:55

Yes good choice and not currently overpopular.

Monty100 · 28/07/2008 00:01

Love it there's a fella at my work called Guy and he is hot. (Far too young and gorgeous for me unfortunately).

Oh and do you remember that beautiful Elton John song 'A Song for Guy' I know the lyrics are sad but the music is beautiful.

Go for it.

The one i knew is now a copper.....

belgo · 28/07/2008 11:59

Not so keen on Guy. It's pronounced 'Ghee' in flemish, which sounds awful. It also reminds me of the last belgian prime minister.

EffiePerine · 28/07/2008 12:00

Am not entirely sure - DH likes it but I wasn't convinced as name for DC2

not a bad name but I associate it with middle-aged men
