Jensen Inteceptor and Kid Jensen spring to mind...never come across it as first name personally

Jensen Ackles not quite world famous actor, but famous enough. It's a nice name, probably more popular in the US than here though.

wasn't Jensen a butler - ah no, that was Bensen.
Anyway, no I don't like it - I do know someone who'se ds has it as a middle name.

Celery · 21/07/2008 11:00

I know a 2 yr old Jensen, but I wouldn't say it was popular.

Hulababy · 21/07/2008 11:24

It isn't my choice of name personally, but I wouldn't say it was a popular/over used names. I don't know any in RL.

I know 1 little Jensen (might be spelled Jenson, though)....and he is a real cutie....but can't say, I have heard it anywhere else....so, wouldn't htink it's greatly overpopular name...

PinkPussyCat · 21/07/2008 11:33

I know a Jensen, I think she's about 27.

amitymama · 21/07/2008 11:38

On reading the topic header, I thought Hmmm, Jenson, Butler

Then it grew on me in the minute it took me to read the thread.

I bestow my blessings

ThinWhiteDuchess · 21/07/2008 12:05

I know of one little boy called Jensen. He's a little darling. Love the name. Far nice than Julian imo.

olyoly · 21/07/2008 15:53

Jensen Button.

I've never met a Jensen, but it is a nice name. It grows on you.

amitymama · 21/07/2008 17:41

Any idea what sort of nicknames might be given a boy named Jensen? Just trying to think what it could be shortened to because I know it will eventually by someone. Jenz?

amitymama · 21/07/2008 17:42

Oh, and middle name would be James. Is there any risk of him being called J.J. over here or is that mostly an American thing (to call a kid by its first two initials)?

OP posts:
LobstersLass · 21/07/2008 17:54

It'll get shortened to Jeni.

I would say that there is a significant risk that he'll get called JJ.

I've know three John Paul's and they've all been called JP, or Jayp. Quite strange really. I'm not sure I've been that aware of anyone else's middle names.

Ineedsomesleep · 21/07/2008 20:40

Jensen Chav?

nickeldime · 22/07/2008 01:24

It's not a widely used name: Jensen baby name

It sounds nice though, so it's good that it's unique!

Cynthia32 · 22/07/2008 01:30

It sounds like the name of a brand of dusters to me, sorry.

ThatBigGermanPrison · 22/07/2008 01:40

It's popular for haulage companies. Sure, call your child that. You could name a daughter Windolene.

ThatBigGermanPrison · 22/07/2008 01:40

And no, nobody will call him Jenz. They will call him Jenny.

thumbwitch · 22/07/2008 01:43

or Jenser;
or worse still, the jenster

amitymama · 22/07/2008 09:48

Nice snarky comments.

Ignore them, it's a nice name If you like then that's what matters!

Ackles gets called 'Jens' btw
