Oooo glad you like Reid, we just called our first ds that!
What about Blair?

Fimbo · 07/07/2008 20:34

Duncan is my ds's middle name - i love it.

Struan

Fimbo · 07/07/2008 20:35

I like Blair

onelittlelion · 07/07/2008 20:39

Jack and Alex are v.popular - There are 2 Jacks in my son's class and several more in the school. In DS2's class there are 2 Alexanders, an Alec and an Alexandra.

Not sure about Blair, makes me think "Witch" or "tony"!

Think what goes best with the surname, or how you imagine he will be as an adult - some names are cute on boys but not on grown men!!

witzend · 07/07/2008 20:55

How about Zak (Zackariah sp?) - short sharp and snazzy for a boy of any age - rather cool too when they grow up and it fits with the others?

Spidermama · 07/07/2008 20:56

The world doesn't need any more Jacks. Or Alex's come to that. Seth reminds me of the character in Cold Comfort Farm and Aled calls to mind Mr. Jones of 'We're wawrking in the aaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiirrrr' fame

Spidermama · 07/07/2008 20:57

Max is the only one I'd consider.

Hulababy · 07/07/2008 21:21

Jack - I like this, but very popular if that bothers you
Seth - not sure; OK but not really my taste
Seb(astian) - nice name; prefer Sebastian to Seb though
Aled - not keen
Alex - OK; prefer Alexander in full
Max - OK, again getting very popular if this bothers you

cafebistro · 07/07/2008 21:30

I like Jack, my ds would have been Jack but already had nephew Jack so he ended up James which i still love.
Max is also nice.
Also like Oscar, Tom, Angus.

Spooky, you have my top three favourite names in your list! Jack, Seth and Alex.

We thought we were having a Jack last year and it turned out to be a Carla. Still, now that I'm pregnant again(OMG!) maybe this time....!

singersgirl · 08/07/2008 21:15

Seth always makes me think of Cold Comfort Farm.

My favourite is Alex, though it is very popular. Not sure if that bothers you though.
