Rafael/Rafe/Rafie

Not really inspired by the tennis, I have always liked Rafe and Rafie and just wondered what people thought of Rafael as the "proper name".

I like it, and like Rafe as a nickname.

I was absolutely in love with a Rafe, so I think it is a great name.

I like Rafael, both as itself and shortened to Rafa or Rafe.
I once met a boy called Raffety which was lovely, IMO, and could also shorten to Rafe if you weren't sure about Rafael.
Beware of people thinking his name is Ralph ...
