Tabitha

[Firebird83]

What do you think of Tabitha?

I really like the name but wouldn't use it as I hate all the shortened versions & cat connotations

My first though it Witch and second thought is it sounds like a tabby cat.

I clearly watched too many episodes of Bewitched as a child. I'm sure others won't have the same association with the name though.

I've always loved it. I think it's a beautiful name and not overused.

I know an adult Tabitha, I think it’s a great name

I think it really lovely although it sure about “Tabby” 🤔. However I currently know 3 Tabithas under 14 which seems a lot for a not super common name.

I love it but another massive Bewitched fan here too!

I also really love it!

I love it. It was on my shortlist for DC2 but they were a boy!

Same, it's a lovely name but no nice diminutives. Similiar to Octavia

Love it and love all the nicknames

My daughter calls her toy cat Tabitha cause she’s a tabby cat. So for me it’s a cat’s name.

Love it

My much loved Tiny Tears doll was Tabitha when I was growing up.
Only ever taught one Tabitha and she was lovely. Great name.

Nice name but I would never consider it because of the thoughts people will have about fictional characters, or abbreviation to Tabby or something else.

I hate it. It’s great for a cat but not for a human and it has such an ugly sound

Absolutley love it.

I feel like it’s quite underused compared to other Biblical girls names

I had a cat called Tabitha, so I'll only ever be able to think of it as a cat name rather than a human one.

Cat

It’s awful

I know 2 through my daughter’s ballet, lovely girls but whenever I hear it my mind automatically thinks of tabby cats

I've only ever known one. She was one of the cool kids, so I did not move in her circle! She was known as Tabby. I quite like it, along with other uncool Biblical names like Damaris.

Tabitha Catherine is cute.

Well I have a Jemima which I think is a similar type name and I like it very much

I think its awful in both forms, long and short. Always makes me think that its a name trying to sound posh but actually sounds common. Its a good name for a cat in both forms though. Witches black cats commonly known as Tabitha.
