Thoughts on Heidi

I have a DS called Freddie
Thinking about Heidi for his sister, any thoughts? We have a short one syllable surname

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I'm sorry, but Heidi is so twee it makes my teeth itch. Twee, cutesy names provoke a visceral dislike in me.

But people have different tastes. I like more classic names, OP clearly likes cutesy ones. Just go with what you love and the opinion of random on the Internet doesn't matter.

Yo-de-lee…. No!

I love it, was a massive fan of the books as a kid.

Love it.

I love it too

I like it. It's not twee or overused. Goes well with Freddie.

I love it, it’s the name of a much loved family member (in her 50s, not a child) so I may be a little influenced by that.

Dated and as PP said, a bit twee. Also what can it be shortened to, Hide?

Why does a name have to be shortened? Both mine and my husband’s names are impossible to be shortened, as they’re both single syllables . Like Jane and Paul, for instance. (Not our names but similar feel and our ‘age’ iykwim.) Not caused any problems Confused

I know Janes and Pauls who have people lengthening their names, and call them Janie and Paulie.
