Does Zach sound too American in Ireland?

Toying with the idea of Zach (Zachary) for baby boy but wondering if it is considered a very American name (Irish and living in Dublin)?

I live in England and I wouldn’t say it’s American at all, certainly Zachary and shortened forms are popular enough but not overused in my opinion. It’s a lovely name.

Also live in Dublin and Zach is not uncommon at all.

I know loads of teenage Zachs in Ireland. Its not unusual or rare.

When ds was born I had the same thought and decided it was too American, especially with our Irish surname. But that was 18 years ago and I think things have changed. I've met a few since then and I think its much more mainstream now. Its a lovely name IMO.

I live in the west of Ireland and know a 21 year old Zach.

I would imagine Zach is viewed the same way in Ireland as it is in England. It's a nice name and not that uncommon. I think people would generally assume it's short for Zachary which is biblical. It wouldn't be seen as particularly American like Denver, Hudson or Kayden for example. But to be honest those names are thought of as more chavvy than American these days anyway.

I'm in Ireland and I know a few Zachs (most are probably Zachary on the birth certificate). It's never occurred to me to think of it as an American name. To me that would more the Kayden/Brayden/Jaxon kinds of names.
