I picture my baby girl as her name being Leni. (Like Lenny) I like Lenna as well but dislike the 2 n look. I am having a hard time just because I don’t want her to be like made fun or always mispronounced. But I dislike any of the longer versions of the name. Her brothers name is Riley. Here’s my list
Leni Bea
Myla Bea
Lenna Bea (even though I like the spelling Lena but that’s not how u pronounce it I don’t like lee-nah I like Len-ah)
Lucy Bea (like this one a lot but it’s so popular rn)
Marley Bea

I really love Leni. Considered it for both my girls.

There is a Scandinavian name Lene which is pronounced Lenna, I knew a lovely Norwegian woman called this. I think traditionally it's short for Helene etc but she was just Lene.

I know it doesn't look how it's spelt for those used to British English, which might get annoying, but it could be an option? That's how I'd have spelt it.

heytheridesatarted · 11/09/2026 13:20

Can you go for lenah as the spelling then?

GregKay · 11/09/2026 13:50

I love Lenna! Not heard that name before. Leni - pronounced Lenny - is too associated with a boys name for me.

I love Myla too, though I think it might be fairly popular? Lucy Bea is very cute too, I'm not sure that specific name is particularly popular but it has a popular ring to it like Gracie-May or Lilly-Rose. Lucy on it's own is a lovely name.

Marley is a dog to me.

I vote Lenna!

LiquoriceAllsorts2 · 11/09/2026 14:31

Also never heard of Lenna but like it. Like it a lot more than Leni and you can always use Leni as a shortening/nickname.

wouldn’t use Lena as would pronounce that as Lee-na and know others who pronounce it as Lay-na.

would Lenah/Lennah/Lenne would work as alternative spellings. Don’t hink they look nicer though

Jk987 · 11/09/2026 14:36

Leni is lovely!

Needmorelego · 11/09/2026 14:41

Leni is nice.
It obvious how it should be pronounced.
Easy to spell (you might get a few "Lenny"s on christmas cards etc).
Go for it.

I like Leni Bea. Second best is Lucy Bea.
I dislike this spelling of Myla, how do you pronounce it? I dislike it because mila is word in Slavic and it's pronounced me-la

TrojanDonkey · 11/09/2026 21:21

Leni is cool.

I hate Myla it’s just a noise to my ears, and also faddy. It’s just another Lyla/Mila/Mia name.

ThereIsATInWater · 11/09/2026 21:25

I know a lenesra, shortened to Leni.

FiveMetresUp · 11/09/2026 21:27

Leni-Bea

FoundAUserNameDownTheSofa · 11/09/2026 21:28

Charlene nn Lenny (if you want to go retro 80s…)

user293948849167 · 11/09/2026 21:41

I like Lenna

Mandarinaduck · 11/09/2026 21:44

I really like Leni and think it is simple to pronounce. Maybe people will need to be told once it is Lenny if they haven't encountered it. It goes well with Riley.

PinkCatCushion · 11/09/2026 21:46

I’m not keen on Lenny for a girl. Leoni is a possible alternative.

Ilovewheelychairs · 11/09/2026 22:04

Lowenna? With Lenna as a nickname?

SemperIdem · 11/09/2026 22:06

I really like Leni but absolutely loathe Bea.

Crazycockerpoo · 11/09/2026 22:11

I recently knew someone called Lenya,
Leni is cute tho.

Byron1990 · 11/09/2026 22:13

I love Leni but as a diminutive of Leonora or Elena

Giraffehaver · 11/09/2026 22:15

Lenna is cute. I also like and suggest Fenna

maggisimpson · 11/09/2026 22:31

I love Leni but DH vetoed it due to the nazi connection 😂
It's usually pronounced Lay-nee rather than Lenni though.

LivingTheDreamish · Yesterday 02:22

Lenna is lovely - never heard it before but it has a lovely meaning (I looked it up!). That would be my pick, but I do think Leni Bea and Lucy Bea are very sweet.

mathanxiety · Yesterday 03:27

I love Leni.

user1492757084 · Yesterday 06:53

Leni Bea is the best and I also love
Eleni Bea (EH-LENN-i)
Elena Bea (EH-LENN-uh)

Comeonbabylightmyaga · Yesterday 07:01

I like Bea on its own.

timoteigirl · Yesterday 12:04

Maybe Lenita? Lenah as the spelling? Magdalena.

If I saw name Lenna I would pronounce it like Minna so Len-nah
