I like both but have voted Henry as i know allt of young Arthurs. I know a few Henry's too. Henry Arthur would be a very handsome combo

I love both but Arthur is very very popular where I am, so Henry.

Named changed for this, my DS is Henry Arthur. It's an excellent combo. He's an older teen now. There have been two other Henrys in his year at secondary (both lovely) and one Arthur (who he says is a dick 😂) if that has any bearing on it!

Yes Henry is popular in England but for some reason Scotland seems to use Harry.

Both so dull from overuse.

I have a Henry nicknamed Harry. Aged 9.

Yes it appears high popularity in the name list but we don't have any in the same year at school, any activities we do or any friendship groups.
There is another in the year below him at school and another at camp the other day but we rarely cross over other than maybe on a day out another parent shouting Henry/Harry.

We have alot more obscure names on repeat on different spelling variations at nursery and school.

Love them both! Like that Arthur could be Art or Artie though.

Art and Artie are dreadful.

It just bothers me he may end up Harry when that isn’t his name but people might just assume it is especially as in Scotland

@Namesnamesnames13 my DS has only ever been called Harry once, in an email from a friend not long after he was born. He's never been called it in real life. He gets called Henners a lot which wouldn't be my choice but doesn't bother him. I think most folk these days don't realise Harry is a nickname for Henry and treat it as a name in its own right so are less likely to confuse the two.

My nephew is Henry and gets called H or Henners. Never Harry.

He'll only end up Harry if you make a decision for that nickname. No-one defaults to our Henry being Harry - if anything most people think its an add nickname and I have to explain the Prince Harry is Prince Henry thing to them.

Those that know him as Henry (school, activities etc) nicknames always end up at Henners, Hedders, H, Hens.

Harry is infinitely nicer than Hens 🐓🐓
