Merlon

"Merlons are the solid parts of a crenellated parapet. They were sometimes pierced with arrow slits"

Lyra? (as in Golden Compass books)

Do you want a "normal" name that simply isn't used that much at the moment? Like Agnes, Margaret or Edna.
Or are you thinking more of inventing a name, without going into the outer bounds of wierdness - say, Fuschia or Terracotta or Peach?

Boco · 27/06/2008 09:31

Well that's a bit like Rampart. Marlon and Rampart would be good for twin girls.

dreamymum · 27/06/2008 09:32

yes scarlet, a different name that is not on the boundary of 'sushi' or 'lychee'.
but not something that is 'normal' as you describe
