What’s your honest opinion on this name?
I am hearing very mixed reviews
I have a DS already called Marley

I don't love it. I prefer Frank.

I'm trying to think of something with a surnamey/Marley, Franklin vibe...

I work with a Franklin and he is the loveliest, gentlest man.

So I associate it with him.

It is fine as a sibling for Marley.

I like it. It's cute. I know a couple of children called Frank, would be nice to have the options of Franklin/Frank/Frankie

Not keen. I like Frank but it’s short for Francis, which I don’t like. If you have a Franklin and a Marley I would definitely assume you had dogs. In that sense, they fit well together.

Marley and Franklin sound well together in the same sentence.
Franklin reminds me of The Miles Franklin Award, of the Franklin River and of President Franklin. I like Frank.

It sounds like a name trying too hard to be different.

I like it and think it goes well with Marley

It makes me think of Franklin from Peanuts. It's a normal name, just not as common or familiar in the UK as in the USA, so people may be more inclined to have specific associations with a Franklin they know or know of. I think it's a similar type of name to Marley in that it's traditionally primarily a surname but often used as a first name now.
