Love Robert. A strong, sensible name which has a number of different shortenings to choose from.

We know one in his teens. Don't know why it's not more popular.

Robert (Bobby/Robbie) - Rob is nice. Friend has one and he is 'Robert'. He might choose to be Bert, which I don't like.
Leo - like it but it's overused
Luca - I don't like it. Filthy lucre.
Sam - like if short for Samuel (or Samson if you're brave)
William - classic but a bit boring. Not keen on Will or Bill but like Billy

William contains Willi - I’d avoid that!

Robert is a good solid name

Due a come back.

I know a 2 year old Robert. Love it.

Also love Sam (have one of my own!) short for Samuel, and William. Leo and Luca are overused.

I really like Luca. I like Sam but there are six in my children’s year at school alone.

Robert is a good, strong classic and Robbie is cute.

Sam is similar, with Samuel on BC.

William is a bit tired and I really don't like Willy.

Luca I rather like.

I really like Luca. I like Sam but there are six in my children’s year at school alone. That seems quite unusual and the name isn't that popular even if you count Sam, Samuel etc as the same.

Luca seems faddy, and has been in the top 10 for at least 2 years, and Lucas is also popular.
