We are thinking of naming our daughter "Renie"

How would you pronounce it if you read it?

Ren-ee
Ree-nee
Ruh-nah

Thanks

Spell it Rene or Renee ( or Irene on the BC) and tell everyone it's pronounced REENee. People will get used to it. I don't think it's a good idea to make up a spelling - as you can see, people are still not going to immediately pronounce it the way you intend when they see it written down..

If it's a single n surely it's ree- nee? Are all the people saying Rennie pronouncing Katie as Cat-tee?

Rene is I think a bit confusing as it is the male version of Re-NAY.

Rennie (as in the tablets).

Like Rene Magritte? But it has an accent. I've never heard of it for a boy in an English context, but I know two English women called Rene (no accent) short for Irene.

Just spell it Reenie and you won't have issues with mispronunciation?
