Mary, Elsie, Lydia and Layla are my favorites.
Mary - classic and uncommon amongst young kids
Elsie - cute
Lydia - I'd deffo call her Lids and I think that's a cool nickname
Layla - my nieces name and she's my fav.

I'm not keen on Leighton connotations are; surname; Leighton buzzard which I think is a football team, and I think one of Stacy Solomon's sons is called Leighton which makes me think it's a boy's name.

Congratulations on you pregnancy by the way! Just pick a name you like and everyone will get used to it.

Are you pronouncing Jana Jann-ah or Yann-ah? Janner is a chav way of speaking where I live so I definitely wouldn't use that.

I wouldn't have Mary, it's so old fashioned to me and not in a good way. When i was young it was also what some girls referred to their vulva as.

Whitney just makes me think Whitney Houston so that would be a no for me.

Leighton is a boys name IMO.

I prefer Claudia to Claudette.

Octavia sounds like the name of a great aunt who's ancient.

Lydia, Layla and Elsie are my favourites by miles.

Loretta is my fave on here. Lotty for short maybe

Whitney is the EastEnders character for me.
Loretta would be a 76-yr old fifty year old divorcee in a cowboy hat and cowboy boots.

The first four and Mary ( in no particular order) are the only names that I like and would use. The rest would not be options.

I don't like Leighton, but the first one I think of is Leighton Meester who played Blair Waldorf in gossip girl, so it clearly isn't just for boys.

Although tbf it probably is more associated with Leyton Orient in my head 🤣
