Im sorry for bothering you but I really do love the names I ask about

  • I don’t feel really ready yet to have them (kids) but what I ask for is for future reference
  • I don’t feel comfortable disclosing my name or age either
so I’d love to know more opinions on the name Lorena where I’m from there’s a small band called Lorena B and I just watched COME DINE WITH ME where there’s a loren

so what do you think ? Beautiful no?

Didn't you ask about Lorena the other day?

JoaoJoao · 07/04/2026 08:47

So now you’re not even pretending to be naming fictional characters any more?

No one has any interest in your name or age — it’s an anonymous forum. But if you’re not naming a fictional character and you’re not pregnant, why do you keep asking people’s opinions about names?

SuperMarioToadPrincessPeach · 07/04/2026 09:27

How many more threads on the same name??

Do you do this in real life?

LividArse · 07/04/2026 09:29

Lorena Bobbit.

You are making people feel suspicious OP because you keep asking about the same names but under different pretences, same username: I'm naming a baby, I'm writing a book, I'm just discussing names I like with no baby whatsoever in the offing.

It is odd to have such intensity about names for a baby who isn't on the horizon because times change. I mean Lorena Bobbit definitely impacted the vibe. Why not wait and see what suits when the time comes?

But if you are really asking, quite honestly all the names you have suggested don't really sit particularly well in a UK context imo. They are fine, but all sound like names I would assume a background reason for - named after a Grandmother from a different culture etc etc.

The best of them imo was Karolina, but I personally feel plain old Caroline is preferable. I didn't like all the Adriana type names and if I'm honest I am not feeling the love for Lorena.

If you ask on a UK forum, you will tend to get responses that indicate a love of names that are much-loved by English ears. That doesn't mean there is anything wrong with the names you have suggested, but this possibly isn't the right forum if you are seeking whole-hearted reinforcement of those choices - which I am presuming is the reason why you keep re-firing the same names on different threads?

Mozart’s wife was named Constanze.

KnitWitsAnonymous · 07/04/2026 10:11

I see you've changed your username on a new thread to ask about Alejandra (again)!

EmpressaurusKitty · 07/04/2026 10:12

There’s also going to be a big difference in views on names for a future novel & names for future babies.

@KarolGFan reminds me of that poster who kept sharing AI images of people in various outfits & wanting opinions.

And I keep wondering why ALL the names are girls names? If they are names for a future baby there is obviously a 50/50 chance the baby will be a boy. Even if OP is writing a book (which I very much doubt) surely there would be some male names included?

As you say, it's all very suspicious . . . .

And OP has now changed her user name

SilverPink · 07/04/2026 10:55

This is just weird.

Wait until you’re actually having a baby and then maybe your other half might like to have some input with the name too?

NamingNoNames · 07/04/2026 14:16

Im sorry for bothering you No you're not.
but I really do love the names I ask about but we don't.

I don’t feel really ready yet to have them (kids) but what I ask for is for future reference Fashions change and you'll have changed your mind by then.

JoaoJoao · 07/04/2026 14:21

It’s a horrible name, but why would you care what a total stranger thinks?

NellieJean · 07/04/2026 14:37

Sounds like a drug. “I’m going to give you 20mg of Lorena twice a day and it should clear up in a few days”.
