very pretty!

Both of my boys would have been Annabel! It is lovely and so underused.

I like the fact she could be Anna when she was older.

Not posh at all.

Both my boys have 2 middle names too so it would be nice if you could find a family name to go in as well.

Are there any nice names in the family?

TwoFir · 18/06/2008 17:06

very pretty

pointydog · 18/06/2008 17:13

I really dislike Annabel.

greenelizabeth · 18/06/2008 17:19

I like it. It's not posh or pretentious at all, because it's pretty but still fairly modest. It's safe from ever becoming... the opposite of posh though. IYKWIM.

missblythe · 18/06/2008 18:45

Two middle names is nice.

Annabel Rose Elizabeth?

Love Bella, Annie, Belle or Anne for short too!

LavendersBlueDillyDilly · 18/06/2008 18:49

I love annabel and rose (my Ds's would have been Rose) and love them together.

Pretty but not in a soppy wet way IYKWIM.

My cousins dd is an Annabel...I wasn't sure at first because it reminded me of the doll Baby Annabell. It has grown on me alot.

Very nice.

BeckieB · 18/06/2008 21:38

Annabel Rose is beautiful! I'm 32 weeks pregnant with a dd and we love the names Arabella Rose, but now I've seen Annabel I'm not so sure.........!

AngelDoll · 18/06/2008 21:52

Beautiful. Very pretty. Annabel is one of my potential names too (am only 7+3 but can't help thinking about it!)

I was thinking Annabelle though.. or is that too wet? Just like the idea of a genuine Belle as the short name IYSWIM.

onepieceoflollipop · 18/06/2008 21:55

Annabel - beautiful name. Was on my shortlist but didn't suit dd2 when she arrived.

Imo a 3 syllable name is better followed by a shorter middle name, such as Rose. Very pretty. Joy or Ruth are also middle names that I like. Classic and go with the slightly "posher" first name.

MummyAnnabella · 19/06/2008 09:49

oh am so pleases to get such positive feedback. love the shortened versions too. like Annabel Rose Elizabeth though no Elizabeth in family.

Annabel i just love but also after an Anne and Anna so in the family. Rose also has meaning as dhs late father obssessed with roses.

Dont want a 3rd name just for the sake of it though as i think Annabel Rose flows so well.

Beautiful, imo

My sis is Annabel and great grandmother was Rose Elizabeth. Annabel Rose Elizabeth sounds gorgeous to me!
