Interested on thoughts for these baby names. Don't yet know if boy or girl and s/he will have 2 half sisters and 1 half brother, all of whom have quite traditional names.

Jacob Alexander
Arthur Henry
Noah Edmund

Isabella Grace
Seren Elizabeth
Ariadne Helen

I like Jacob Alexander and Isabella Grace best.

I also like Elizabeth and Helen a lot.

Arthur, Henry and Edmund are good fine names.

All the others are ok.

MiddleAgedDread · 24/03/2026 16:51

I don't like Ariadne but the others are nice. Noah Edmund reminds me of Noel Edmunds too much though! Noah Alexander would work instead.

NigellaDelia · 24/03/2026 16:53

I like all the boys names except Edmund (would prefer Edward)
Noah Henry would be an alternative good combination

I love Isabella Grace
Would prefer Serena to Seren
Not keen on the last set of girls names

Watchoutfortheslowaraf · 24/03/2026 16:55

I think Isabella Grace is quite boring but I love Ariadne hazel- it’s very cool. Noah Edmund reminds me of Noel Edmunds. I like Jacob Alexander best of the boy names

BoleynMemories13 · 24/03/2026 17:01

I like all of your boy choices, but Jacob Alexander is my favourite combination.

How about Noah Jacob if you don't use Jacob as a first name? I understand why you are avoiding Alexander and Henry with it, to avoid a clash with the final sound/letter and the first sound/letter. However, Noah Edmund is far too close to Noel Edmunds. Noah Edward would be slightly preferable.

Isabella Grace is definitely my favourite of your girl choices.

Mumofgirls2017 · 24/03/2026 17:28

Arthur Henry, Seren elizabeth

JustGiveMeReason · 24/03/2026 18:09

I like all your boy list but none of your girl list.

There are SO many girls named Isabella over the last 8 years or so (if you are looking at lists, remember to include all the different spellings, and 'Isobel' 'Bella' listings as well, to see how popular it has been).

NamingNoNames · 24/03/2026 18:27

Jacob Alexander - like but he'll be Jake
Arthur Henry - OK, popular
Noah Edmund - Noel Edmonds/Noah Redmond. Not keen on Noah

Isabella Grace - overused. Meh middle name
Seren Elizabeth - don't like Seren
Ariadne Helen - don't like Ariadne

I'd go for Jacob Henry and Helen Elizabeth

Nicolathecat · 24/03/2026 18:28

I like Ariadne Helen the best of the girls for what it's worth, but they are all good names.

Worriedmumma2025 · 24/03/2026 18:29

Jacob alexander (but would prefer the other way around)
Seren Elizabeth (LOVE Seren)

carrotsandstickz · 24/03/2026 18:48

Edmund is a family name. Arthur and Seren are both nods to Welsh heritage.

Arthur and Seren are my favourites. I don’t like Noah or Jacob (overused).

Giraffehaver · 24/03/2026 22:15

Love Jacob and Seren

JustGiveMeReason · 24/03/2026 22:29

I like Elizabeth, and Helen and Grace are okay, but I don't like Seren. I really don't like Ariadne. Isabella has been used so much recently, I'd not use it.

hardliquormixedwithabitofintellect · 24/03/2026 22:31

I love Seren Elizabeth and Jacob Alexander a lot

Calliopespa · 24/03/2026 23:17

Arthur Henry and Isabella Elizabeth.

Pettenell · 24/03/2026 23:32

My favourites are Arthur Henry and Seren Elizabeth.

I also really like Ariadne, and it goes very well with Helen.

KayEmAy · 25/03/2026 00:40

Seren Elizabeth is the winner!

Edmund is a family name. Arthur and Seren are both nods to Welsh heritage.

I’d pair Arthur Edmund. Good solid name.

Eenameenadeeka · 25/03/2026 03:42

Arthur but with Edmund, all good boys names there to be fair!

And Isabella Grace from those girls names.

Amiacoolorwarmcolour · 27/03/2026 17:40

Jacob and Isabella.

shoopshoopdedoo · 27/03/2026 17:46

Can we mix up the options?

If so, I’d have Alexander Edmund (love Alexander, and love a family middle name). But I like all your boy options.

For girls, I’d pick Helen or Elizabeth as the first name. With any of the others in the middle.

Bombombomtralala · 27/03/2026 18:00

Seren Elizabeth.

Jacob Edmund (if we are allowed to move them around?).

Other Welsh names that I love are Mabli and Ffion for girls and Taran for a boy.

CeciliaMars · 27/03/2026 18:33

Jacob and Seren for me.

I have taught multiple Jacobs, Arthurs, Noahs and Isabellas (or variants thereof) in the last five years. Up to you whether that matters. I like them all, but I do think Noah is getting a bit tired old fad now.

Ariadne is a lot more out there but I like it. I prefer Serena to Seren, unless you have a cultural reason to go with Seren.

I think all your middle names are solid choices that will never go out of fashion, though I prefer Edward to Edmund (Edmund is always Narnia to me).
