Baby girl name - Which of the two?

We’re Greeks living in the UK and we’re choosing between two baby names for our DD1 - Lily and Aliki. Both names work well in Greece, but which one do you think would fit better in the UK?

  • Lily is more international for Greeks but still valid and ok name.
  • Aliki is the Greek version of Alice.

We just don't want endless name spelling issues or mispelt names etc. hence we narrowed it down to an easy Greek name and a British/international one.

I think she might get Licky so Lily is probably safer but there are plenty of nicer Greek names. I’m Greek also and in our family we have Eleni, Phoebe, Gina and Callie. I also like Athena,Lyra and Thalia

I like Aliki. Lily is too popular,.

I love Olympia, Athena, Margaret, Elena and Alexandra.
