Short boys’ names starting with a vowel, similar to Abel but rarer

I like the name Abel but it’s more common than my other children’s names who have much rarer names.

Does anyone have any other short name suggestions which begin with a vowel?

I think some of the names suggested are not rare or unusual. When you ask for rare names, do you mean rare names ever or rare names for this age group? And would you say name Amado is too long? Is length more than one syllable or the number of letters in the name?

I'm a teacher and I've never met an Abel; are you sure it's that common? It was our name for DD if she'd been a boy. I love it!

I don't think it is common as he was killed by his brother so parents often don't like that association. I've never come across it even if have met other Old Testament names such as Solomon, Malachi and Shadrack.
