I have one. Though has always been called Jamie or even Jimbob. Hes named for someone though so sentimentality won out for me. Also we thought it better to have a normal name we both liked as the rest of ours choices were so different.

AitchTwoCiao · 17/06/2008 00:04

James is timeless

James is a smashing name.

Lurkinaround · 17/06/2008 02:15

Oh yes, James is great. It's a grown up name but it can also be cool when shortened.

My James (18 months) is a Jim, Jimmy, Jimbob, JimlyBob, JimJoms, JimBlob [] not ever going to be a Jamie though. Unless he chooses it when he's older. Jimi is way cooler though.

I like it.
James is number 5 in Thomas the Tank. (the red one) You could have a James bedroom.

A nice classic strong name. My grandad was James and was know as Jem or Jemmy by some. I like Jem.
