We’ve been in the currently naming trend of ‘Ada, Eva, Eve, Evie, Mia, Maya, Miley, Layla, Lila, Isla, Arlo, Finley, Jude, Otis, Oakley, Luca, Theo’ for quite a while now and I’m anticipating that we may have a change of trends again soon.

What names would you love to see be used more?

Who invented the names Cadeus, Vanessa and Nerissa? I thought they are existing names not made up. Or is this similar as Shakespeare-invented names?

On a thread about boys names, I was called a racist, and told to go away and ‘paint a roundabout’.

They insisted that I was talking about English names, which wasn’t what i was saying at all.

But you, ladies…you’re my people! 🫡

Desdemona means ill-fated so I can't see that one 🤣

I named my very beautiful cat Desdemona.

It suited her, bless her. She was an odd one.

Traditional “proper” names yet weirdly underused see below. If I never hear Grace/ Amelia / Olivia / Eve/ Isobel / Lily again I won’t be sorry. Sooooo bored of those names

Mary
Susannah
Miranda
Hinir

Please no more Theo, Harry, Evie, Lily type names. You may as well be called Boy or Girl - so unmemorable!
