Penelope / unusual middle name

What do you think of the name Penelope?
I also had a x2 great grandmother named Sybretta (pronounced Sib - bretta) and we have thought about using this as a middle name. What are your thoughts?

Penelope is lovely and I think it’s great to use a family name. Sybretta is really unique and great to carry that forward! I don’t get too caught on up how first and middle names sound together the way some on MN do as I firmly believe no one ever knows any other adults middle name so it’s a complete non-issue but I think Penelope Sybretta works well anyway!

Penelope is a gorgeous name and has such lovely nn options (Penny / Nell, or even Polly / Poppy).

I’ve never heard Sybretta before - it’s a lovely family connection. Being completely honest, I don’t think I’d choose it myself but it’s fine as a middle name if you love it.

Go for it. Middle names are not used much. Ignore the "the two names together are a bit of a mouthful"s.

@MrsFantastic , they're hardly ever used. The 'Does the middle name go?' type threads end up with several pages saying 'the first and middle names don't go' without knowing what the surname is.
So what if Isla Rose sounds great if her surname is Tyler or White?

Most people's full names are never read out.Except for christenings or graduations or weddings.

No, one will even know what it is.Just go for it if you like it. It's certainly unique and I like it.
