Struggling with a name for baby girl. We both quite like Zara/Zoe although not sure which we would choose.

Interested to know which name people prefer and why? Or any other names we should think about (don't need to be Z!)

What about names like

Amelia
Serena

or do you want a short name?

Not necessarily short ! I do like Amelia and Serena in the way they sound/look although am slightly put off by Amelia's and Serena's that we know

Zoë. Zara is very 90s.

Zara. I have a Zahra (Arabic spelling to reflect her heritage). Had many compliments over the years.

I have a cousin Zoe and her sister is Zena, both quite ahead of their time for early 1970s.

Had many compliments over the years. People will compliment most names. It's just small talk.

I know a lot of Zaras/Zahras so it seems quite ordinary to me.

Zara

Zoe makes me think first of eastenders, then of the Renault car
