We have a girl named Elsie Caitlin a boy named Raife Alexander our surname is Kyte pronounced Kite 🪁

Got a couple of front runners Imogen and Juliet but not sure they go as a sibling name for Elsie and Raife??

Imogen Rose
Imogen Blythe
Juliet Imogen

other names I like but don’t love are and I also always thought I’d go with something with the sound et in to honor my Gran who was Etta but now thinking there’s too many Ts with our surname.

Eden
Floretta
Celine
Collette
Genevieve
Ottilie
Lenora
Thanks for any suggestions 😊

I adore Colette ❤️

Mumofgirls2017 · 30/09/2025 17:03

I love Juliet ❤️ nn Etta? Goes well enough with your others I think

others could be shortened to Etta:
harriet
henrietta
scarlett
violet

Otherwise
juniper
flora
mabel
olive
nora
lillian
polly
sadie
iris
bonnie
tabitha
beatrix

I think Etta and Juliette have too many Ts with your surname (which is a great one!).

Saffron
Melody
Honor
Cleo
Alicia

… some random ones I’ve come across recently and liked!

LivingTheDreamish · 30/09/2025 17:55

I think you’ve already landed on the perfect name with Imogen. Juliet Kyte is hard to say, you need something softer. Elsie, Raife and Imogen is lovely.

Imogen Juliet?

Sadly you can’t use Etta with a noun surname (ate a kite).

Kirstiegemma · 30/09/2025 19:08

Thanks that really helps 💓 I knew it was jarring and I couldn’t figure out why and now it seems so obvious 😅!

Josephine? shortened to Josie
Eleanor ? Shortened to Nell ?
If you want to shorten the name

GreyhoundGal1 · 30/09/2025 19:45

I think if you use Et in the middle name it's not too much, because most people don't know middle names. Or something with Eth in it to soften it?
But I agree with your point on first name. Love Imogen and it goes really well! How about:

Imogen Ethel
Imogen Bethany
Imogen Violetta

Juliet is lovely and could be shortened to Etta
Also love Imogen so would vote Juliet Imogen from your list

AnnaQuayInTheUk · 30/09/2025 20:41

Imogen is such a lovely name and goes really well with your surname

mathanxiety · 30/09/2025 20:49

I don't think Colette Kyre would work at all.

Not keen on the rest of your names with the surname.

As a sister to Elsie and Raife, how about:
Sadie
Sylvie
Romy
Maisie
Tessa

FlutteryButterfly · 30/09/2025 20:54

Elodie
Jasmine
Anna

BatsInSummer · 30/09/2025 20:59

It would be lovely to use Etta in honour of your gran.
I would use it in the middle but then add a second middle to soften it
Imogen Etta Pearl Kyte
Imogen Etta Rose Kyte
Imogen Etta Rae Kyte

I love Sadie, Sylvie and Maisie. Maisie was top of my girls name list but my brother named his cat it 😂 and I have friends with little girls called Sadie and Sylvie.

Thanks for your suggestion definitely my style.

Second middle name could work, I hadn’t considered this thank you for the suggestion 💞

Fairywingsandroses · 04/10/2025 13:26

Of the names you have listed I absolutely love Blythe, and I would use that as a first name. I think it goes well with Elsie and Raife.

Namethoughtsplease · 05/10/2025 12:14

How about Imogen Odette - you could honour the TT sound in middle name and still keep your preferred first name?

crappycrapcrap · 05/10/2025 16:24

Evelyn
