we are open to other suggestions if you have any? Our surname is short / one syllable. Luca as a middle name would be preferable but not essential.

Wilfred Luca or Elias Luca sound good to me - you might like similar style Alfred Luca or Tobias Luca? Or you could possibly go more classic with William Luca? (you don’t have to call him Billy, most get shortened to Will if anything. But it still might be a no go if there’s a close Billy in the family).

3 syllable first name, 2 syllable middle, 1 syllable surname flow the most beautifully imo (but 2 syllable, 2 syllable, 1 syllable is fine too). Arthur, Louis and Jasper do sound less good with Luca as a middle but what really matters is how the first name sounds with the surname as his middle name will only be said occasionally.
