Have name changed as this is SO outing 😬

I am having my tenth and final baby in December, just found out it’s a boy, my 7th boy and my 4th boy in a row!

Here are my other children’s names

Max
George
Tabitha
Ivor
Posy
Mabel
Stanley
Rocco
Winston

Im a bit lost for names, plus the older 5 children are teenagers and have an opinion on everything 😂 I like Ziggy, Frank, Bruno, Dexter and Axel. But don’t really love any of them.

TIA 🙂

Decimus Septimus Meridius

(Or more seriously, how about Benjamin? It's often traditionally used to refer to the youngest sibling, Benjamin being Jacob's youngest son in the Bible)

Edited

Definitely Benjamin!!

Linus

I really wish I'd used Linus.

How the hell is nobody commenting on the fact you’ve name changed as this is “so outing” then proceeded to share the names of your NINE children!

Edited

Did you not realise why people name change? It’s so they can be outing and not link to other, previous posts. 🤭

According to chatgtp:

Rufus
Wilf
Ernest/Ernie
Hector
Clement
Cosmo
Monty
Otto
Basil
Dashiell (Dash)

thays Actually a really good list, I love Hector and completely forgot about it, dc9 was almost hector.

I do like Ernest aswell, it was my great grandads name and I have some nice memories of him when I was really little, maybe as a middle name though.

Does it matter though if you like the name Dexter? I'm sure your son George won't have been the only George in school

It doesn’t matter if I REALLY love the name, max and George were one of about 7 max and George’s in their class 😆 I really loved their names and it didn’t bother me that they were popular.

I think you should acknowledge the ten thing. So maybe Zayn, Declan or something with an x in it.

But I also love the name Torin for some reason. Good luck with whatever you choose!

Emmafuller79 · 30/08/2025 07:28

your right but -

Toby 🟰twee … won’t sound good when the child becomes a man

oscar 🟰 reminds me of the trash can character in Sesame Street

I have to concede I do think of Oscar the Grouch so it never made our lists, but its very popular and used alongside really nice names.

Oh yes Hector goes well with that bundle of names.

I don't think she minds being outed for this thread. It's any threads about things her runny stools or accidentally reversing over the neighbour's cat she wants to disconnect it from.

She knows this thread is outing. That's why she said its "so outing."

Ernest
Diggory
Josiah
Joss (either as is or short for Josiah etc)
Silas
Dashiel
Barnabas/Barnaby
Zachary
Corin
Caspar
Ignatius (Iggy)
Kester (Kes)

I like Frank, especially short for Francis, Bruno might be hard to live up to..

I'd lay off Dexter, Ziggy and Axel - it sounds like you got bored with baby names and just called them after a neighbourhood dog

Jonah

Why is it amazing? I think it’s pretty selfish and shit considering the massive environmental impact.

So many people are choosing to not have children these days, or just one. Calm down.

You beat me to it with Septimus!

Otherwise, I'm throwing the name Jackson into the hat, but it is a biased suggestion 💙

TheCurious0range · 30/08/2025 15:05

Calliopespa · 30/08/2025 00:37

Oh but I AM serious! Please do Septimus! Its such a brilliant name but seldom does anyone have enough children to make it so appropriate.

There's also Decimus for tenth but it's too close to decimate I think.

Septimus is fabulous.

I know siblings who are the last two of an 8 sibling group, Septimus and Octavia, their parents say they ran out of naming ideas so started on numbering.

Zov · 30/08/2025 15:08

Septimus is bloody awful! 😖 Just makes me think 'septic!'

The thing is I think they are really lovely names, but you do sort of feel you need seven or eight children to make them work - and I never quite got there!

Octavia gets used a bit more, though its a slightly weird meaning unless its their birth date. But I love the name Septimus. There's a character in Virginia Woolf - Mrs Dalloway isn't it? I always really liked it, and of course it was a lot more common in the days before contraception.
