its more tit for tat in our house and we end up striking off

i.e if he has one I hate, I red card it and vice versa so we end up with a few in the end

Your daughters have beautiful names Dizzy!

For dc3, how about:

Constance (Connie)
Maria (Mia)
Bethany (Beth)
Charlotte (Charlie/Lottie)
Cassandra (Cassie/Casey)
Evelyn (Evie)
Genevieve (Gen/Genny)
Jasmine (Jazz/Mina)
Lucinda/Lucita/Lucille (lucy)
Samantha (Sam/Sammi)

I love thinking of names

dizzydixies · 30/05/2008 23:08

thank you bluenose, tis lovely to see you

norkmaiden · 30/05/2008 23:09

I'm a bit of a name thread addict too...

dizzydixies · 30/05/2008 23:10

all very welcome norkmaiden - love your name btw!!!

I only called on title posters as (including Scorpio) we're the usual suspects yabbering on with same suggestions on the naming threads

wasn't meant to exclude anyone else

OP posts:
bluenosesaint · 30/05/2008 23:12

And you Dizzy

How long have you got left now? How are you feeling?

norkmaiden · 30/05/2008 23:13

lots of the names on this thread right up my street

not sure I can put myself through the necessary sufferings again (have only PFB ) in order ever to use any though..!

dizzydixies · 30/05/2008 23:15

bluenose am well thank you, have only got about 9wks to go hence my tentative move onto the naming board

norkmaiden i have two dd's both with two middle names and find thats the way to get through all the names you like

OP posts:
bluenosesaint · 30/05/2008 23:22

LOL have you got any frontrunners?

dizzydixies · 30/05/2008 23:29

not really - we still have all our boys names as have never had a chance to use them

girls ones am now going to muse over include

Clementine (just don't tell GreenElizabeth!)
Cordelia
Georgina
Corinna
Celeste
Beatrice
Eugenie
Evangelia
Tabitha

b oth my girls use shortened versions so I think if this is another girl she should get to do the same

aarrgghh, tis a minefield

OP posts:
bluenosesaint · 30/05/2008 23:35

LOL - i know what you mean. I have 3 girls and its was hell naming dd3!! Dh named her and i still don't like it, i mean, its a nice name, its just not her name

I'm sure that made LOADS of sense, lol

I like Cordelia, Beatrice and Tabitha best from your list, although all are lovely

I agree with your long/short theory btw. Seems right somehow.

dizzydixies · 30/05/2008 23:39

thanks, am sure I'll think of more at 4am on one of my many bladder hoofed on trips to the toilet

am off to bed, talk soon

OP posts:
bluenosesaint · 30/05/2008 23:40

G'night

dizzydixies · 31/05/2008 11:47

Tabitha and Georgina are off - dh doesn't like them

he DOES however like Cordelia and Celeste

Evangeline got a maybe and he wasn't fussed on the rest

do you see what am up against here?!? lol

OP posts:
MamaTama · 31/05/2008 12:08

I stand by my Serena Celeste suggestion: imagine if she did turn out to be heavenly, clam & peaceful like her name what a breeze it would be parenting her?!?
Didn't DH like Serena?
What's your surname if you don't mind me asking?
Be good to know to see how different names ring together...
At least it sounds like you've narrowed it down a bit anyway!

dizzydixies · 31/05/2008 12:11

our surname begins with a D, two syllable and is very much a first name

OP posts:
dizzydixies · 31/05/2008 13:05

does anyone like Ottilie?

OP posts:
hunkermunker · 31/05/2008 13:38

Ottilie Bottilie?

I can't believe it's not butter, etc.
