Méabh (or possibly Maeve) or Ruby?

Are you in Ireland? Then Meabh (sorry can’t do accent on phone). But if you live elsewhere then I think anglicised Maeve would be easier for her. Maeve is such a pretty name, even though it’s rising rapidly, I’ve always liked it (I like similar May and Eve too).

I’m not keen on Ruby - I know it’s still popular but it feels very early 2000’s in style to me (and part of the “Grandma chic” trend).

There are quite a few different Irish spellings, is Méabh the usual one? I really don't like Maeve.
Ruby is nicer.

Niether

Ruby is so much nicer.

I don't see the appeal of Maeve myself. It's just Dave with an M.

I love Méabh

Me neither. It's like Mae or Mavis but even worse.

Meadhbh/Meabh doesn't seem as bad.
The anglicisations put me off though because I quite like Siobhan, Sean, Ciara, Niamh, Ciaran etc but not Shevaun, Shaun, Keira, Neve, Kieran etc.
(apols for missing fadas)
