Too many - ie sounds!

I'm having a girl! This is big, big news in our family, as we don't really do girls. She's going to have 9 boy cousins and 1 girl cousin. Choosing a girl's name should therefore be really easy, but naturally... isn't.

I had been leaning quite heavily towards Sophie Elizabeth Mary. Sophie has been my preferred girl's name for years, Elizabeth was my nana's middle name and the name of DH and my first home together (ie name of the apartment building), and Mary is both my and my mum's middle name.

Recently I'm less taken with Elizabeth, and want to use Nell instead - nana's first name. But Sophie Nell Mary didn't feel right, and Sophie Mary Nell doesn't flow... Too many -ie's.

By thoughts? Is something going to have to give?

I would just go with Sophie Elizabeth Mary

Sophie Nell Elizabeth?

Sophie Elizabeth Mary or Sophie Mary Elizabeth are both lovely.
Was Nell short for Ellen?

Sophie Mary Ellen
Sophie Ellen Mary

Sophie Mary Nell sounds nicer to my ear than Sophie Nell Mary.
Other ideas ..
Narelle Mary

Sophie Elizabeth Mary is lovely.

Sophie Nell Mary doesn’t flow as well but middle names are rarely said aloud so it’s fine if you prefer Nell.

I wouldn’t use Sophie Mary Nell as I hear “merry hell” for Mary Nell! But maybe that’s just me!

For me personally Sophie Elizabeth Mary is just too long. You could use a variation on Mary that might flow better. Sophie Nell Marie sounds nice to me. Or there's Maria, Maren, Miriam.

How often do you think that you will say her middle name(s)?

How about Eliza as a nod to Elizabeth? Sophie Eliza Mary?or Beth?

I think Sophie Mary Nell sounds nice!

Was Nell her full name?
