Erin.

Erin is beautiful unless you’re in Ireland.

Cecilly · 11/08/2025 16:21

All three are pretty names but if I had to choose, I’d say Aisling. They sound nice together.

Why unless you're in Ireland? I'm in Ireland and there's plenty of Erin's

Emanwenym · 11/08/2025 16:26

Lydia

As much as I love classic Lydia, in terms of an sibset with Aoife, I think Erin pairs the best imo - they just sound nice together.

Nothing wrong with Aisling as such, but I don’t like the sound quite as much as the other two, plus I’m not keen on same initials for same sex siblings personally.

Also in Ireland and find Erin a bit cringe on an actual Irish person. Feels a bit plastic paddy, like Shannon or Colleen.

2024BabyNameIndecision · 11/08/2025 19:12

We have an Erin and considered Aoife for DD2 but I didnt like the way that saying "Aoife and Erin" sounded a bit like "E for an Erin" 😅 (Infact, our Erin was actually Aoife for a day before i thought it didnt really suit her). So in your case i like Lydia the most. I dislike matching sibling vowels so would rule out Aisling on those grounds.

GreyhoundGal1 · 11/08/2025 19:13

Erin!

Icanneverthinkofausername · 11/08/2025 19:14

I was coming on to say Erin before I even saw your shortlist. Both beautiful names

DiscoBob · 11/08/2025 19:15

Erin.
But I think I prefer a single syllable for the second name.

Like stuff like...
Wren
Lee
Belle
Jean
Lark
Jade
Eve
Anne

Aisling. I've always loved the name. Erin is a bit overused.

I actually get what you mean as I just realised I'm the same way when someone goes for a really mad obscure Irish name I sometimes think they're trying too hard to be the most Irish 😂

AnonymousArmadillo · 11/08/2025 20:38

My DD2 is Aoife and her cousin is Erin. They sound nice together.

As an aside, my eldest DD is Cara.

zebrastripesarefun · 11/08/2025 20:40

Love the name Erin. Beautiful with your other daughters name
