Anna or Matilda?

Hi,

Very stuck and looking for some opinions please - Anna or Matilda as a sister for Lara?

My grandmother was Matilda, she was born in 1910. Love it!

I like both! I'm not sure of any issues with Matilda, but if you live in an area where the H is regularly dropped, your Anna might be mistaken for secretly being a Hannah (and you'll get Christmas cards and things with 'Hannah' on). This is not a bad thing, as I like Hannah, too!

I had a friend in primary school in Yorkshire who introduced herself as Ellen with an aitch.

I love Anna and Matilda. Anna probably has the edge for me though.

I’m Anna. I’ve never been called Hannah or mistaken for Hannah. Love my name. One friend calls me Annie which I also like.

Anna but I am a little biased as thats my name 😀My daughter has a lot of friends called Matilda/Tilly but she if 15 so not sure about current popularity.

I have also never been confused with Hannah - more likely to be Ann and I just say that Ann was my mum 😁

I like both names, but Anna is my favourite of the two. It also goes better with Lara.

Anna and Lara fit wonderfully together. Two of my favourite names- simple, international and romantic (like the novels Anna Karenina and Dr Zhivago).

With Lara, I prefer Anna.

I like them both. Matilda has the option of Tilly.
