Hi, so this is my first post as I am getting close to my due date but have no clue on names yet. Recently the only names that have interested me have been little nicknames such as Gigi, Lex and Juni, my partner is happy for anything as long as she had a longer more suitable name on the birth certificate. So my question is if anybody knows any good full length names for those aside from the obvious ones.
And my second question is I have heard some people say they know which name to go for as soon as they see their baby, this has helped me get over a little bit of the stress and pressure, but I wanted to know if anybody can say this is true from experience?
Sorry if this post is worded weirdly or formatted wrong, I am not entirely sure how to use this just yet xx

Genevieve, Alexandra, Alexis, June, Juno

Gigi is fine as it is, I think. For the others: Alexa, Alexandra, Juniper..

These are probably pretty obvious but:

Gigi - Georgina, Georgia, Gianna, Genevieve
Lex - Alexa, Alexis, Alexandra
Juni - June, Juniper

idk about your second question but I've always found it a weird concept. To take a random name, there must be hundreds of thousands of babies/children called Ava out there. None of those children look the same so how can anyone look like an Ava? Plus most babies look kind of similar to each other anyway.

Other ideas on little nicknames that connect to full names:
Ally - Alyssa, Alison, Alexandra
Callie - Clarissa, Calypso, Calliope, Calista
Cece - Cecily, Cecilia
Dottie - Dorothy
Etta - Henrietta, Minette
Effie - Elizabeth, Stephanie, Euphemia
Fifi - Fiona, Ffion, Fionnuala
Fizzy - Felicity
Gwen - Gwendoline
Ginny - Virginia, Regina, Georgina
Hattie - Harriet
Hetty - Henrietta
Ibby - Isabel, Isabella
Immy - Imogen
Indi - India
Jess - Jessica, Jessamy
Kiki - Kristine, Kristina
Kat - Katherine. Katrina, Kathleen, Katie
Lena - Eleanor
Liv - Livia, Olivia, Lavinia, Olive
Mimi - Miranda, Miriam, Marie
Mel - Melissa, Melanie, Melisande
Minty - Araminta
Nikki - Nicole, Nicola, Nicolette, Nikita
Nat - Natalie, Natasha, Natalia
Pip - Philippa, Piper, Pippa
Romy - Romilly, Ramona
Ronnie - Veronica
Rory - Aurora, Lorelei
Saffy - Saffron, Serafina, Sapphire
Sephy - Stephanie, Perspehone
Stevie - Stephanie
Sam - Samantha, Samaris, Samya
Tilly - Matilda
Tavvy - Octavia
Tammy - Tamara, Tamsin
Tori - Victoria
Vivi - Vivian, Vivienne, Viviaane

Gigi - Virginia, Bridget/Brigitte, Gillian, Giselle, Regina

Juni is a Scandinavian name in its own right.

Loads of great ideas already given by pp’s. So just to say that I love Juni - I’d use it as a nn for June I think.

i am not going to offer any names as you will figure that out, but yes its true you know after a few days of what to call them. we had margo, river, florence, wren as contenders and i was pretty set on margo. but when she was born it just didn't fit. she was prem and had the highest pitch scream. so we said she is like a little song bird and hence she was named wren
