BlueBelle7979 · 20/07/2025 07:20

Hugo or Raphael.
i really dislike Leo.

SaintGermain · 20/07/2025 07:35

Hugo or Raphael.

Pemba · 20/07/2025 07:45

Raphael is nice, and fairly unusual.

Hugo is so try-hard posh, plus some people will pronounce it 'Hoo-go'.

Leo is OK.

Hugo

Failingatadulting · 20/07/2025 09:12

I like Raphael it's more unusual and Raphie and Raph are cute nns

Hugo seems to be having a moment in my area atm so many of them

I like Leo but it's been popular for a long time now

Viviennemary · 20/07/2025 09:15

I like Raphael but feel it's a bit way out. Not overkeen on Leo but its ok. Hugo is very nice but only if you are quite posh.

Mumofgirls2017 · 20/07/2025 09:44

Leo

Leo.

Funnily enough I have cousins called Leo and Raphael so am pretty partial to them. Not too keen on Hugo my mind jumps straight to Hugo boss.

Also depends on what the names sound like with the surname I suppose.

Zanatdy · 20/07/2025 10:01

Hugo

Fifthtimelucky · 20/07/2025 10:26

Leo, as it’s probably the least common of the three.

Instead of Hugo, have you thought of Hugh? Much nicer in my view (which I accept might be warped because of a horrible uncle Hugo I used to have)!

Moreteaandchocolate · 20/07/2025 11:17
  1. Leo (Lovely if you don’t mind the popularity)
  2. Hugo (nice if you don’t mind the slightly posh vibes)
  3. Raphael (I find this too “frilly”)

Leo

Limonades · 20/07/2025 19:08

Raphael

Hugo is comedy posh

Leo is ok but quite popular

DuchessOfNarcissex · 20/07/2025 19:18

Leo. Hugo doesn't sound great in some accents and Raphael, especially Raffy, is dreadful.

TomatoSandwiches · 20/07/2025 19:20

Leo is too popular

Hugo I like but prefer Henry

Raphael is the nicest on your list but if you're not sending him to Harrow I would switch to Rafe.

Why is Rafe more suited to non Harrow schools?

WhoInvitedHer · 20/07/2025 19:53

Love Rafe

Louoby · 20/07/2025 20:14

All are awful in my opinion.

LucasBuck · 21/07/2025 00:53

I love classic Hugh but Hugo is still a bumbling UC caricature in my head as personified on the Vicar of Dibley (even though I understand it’s trendy now!).

Raphael - seems to work brilliantly on exotic Latin looking men, but otherwise it’s a painter or a Ninja Turtle for me.

Leo is every 10th boy at primary school - but it’s a very nice sounding, straightforward name and would personally be my pick of the 3.

Hugo, Leo or Raphael?

Dislike all three, and really unoriginal.
