Anya or Annika

Anyone like these two names? If so which do you prefer. Other option is Zara.

Zara is 100% the best of the three though I had a dog called Zara (so sorry but to me the other two are AnYaaaaaaa or AnIkeaaaa)

Ooh, tricky one as surprisingly for me I really like the sound of all 3! 🤣 It depends on what type of name you are after imo.

Zara - really pretty sound and reasonably popular too I think, which can have a lot of benefits (with popular names most people know how to pronounce and spell them, fits in with peers names at school, can more easily get junk from the shops with their name on it, which kids often like).

Anya - perfect middle ground name, well known, international, yet has never been super popular in the UK.

Annika - the most exotic sounding of the 3 but it also has fab nickname choices - there’s no reason Anya couldn’t be a nickname for Annika so you’d have the best of both worlds then.

Anya, popular in Australia, I prefer it.

I'm not a fan of Annika. It's quite a harsh sound and isn't too dissimilar to the word anarchy, when said aloud, which isn't great.

I also think Anya is beautiful.

Not a fan of Zara at all, it’s Sara but trying to be edgey. I worked with someone call Sara who tried to convince everyone it’s pronounced Zara.
I can’t decide on Annika, it just conjures up Annika Rice, literally the only Annika I know of. Every time I say it out loud Annika in her jumpsuit comes to mind. Anya is the nicest of the three.
Out of interest (sorry if asked already) are you pronouncing it An-ya or On-ya?

I know an Anya who has a really poor attitude and an Annika who has always been very lovely so Annika gets my vote. Funny how the people you know influence the names you like!
