Again Hoping for your opinion.. searching for the name … for Italy with a Slavic vibe but edgy and modern… I know that Daniel is a traditional name but maybe there are more modern versions of it or you can suggest some… thanks

Maybe you should ask on an Italian forum since most users on mumsnet are in the uk and won't know what sounds good to an Italian ear?

Then ask people there, not on a UK based forum.

Rude much ? OP's asking for opinions on names, she doesn't need your permission to post. If you have no opinion post somewhere else.

OP, I feel like Danilo works well in Italy with the O ending, but Daniel is more international. Personally I'd pick Danilo.

Mikael would probably work well everywhere, ditto Max, if you want other suggestions. Also Ilya/Elias, and Luka.

Don know how it sounds in Italy but I love Danilo and Dante. I worked with a Donatello which I thought was pretty cool; maybe tainted by trump now unfortunately.

Dante is nice - use it if you like it, though check it isn’t super naff in Italy

Daniel is just Daniele in Italy I think.

I wouldn’t just make shit up, you deffo need an Italian perspective.

Is Nikita not a boys short form in E Europe though?
