Trying to think of baby names for second baby! We don't know the sex yet but already have a daughter called Summer. I absolutely love 'Willow' for a girl but just remembered that our family members dog is called willow and I'm gutted! Wondering if anyone can offer an alternative on the same vibe as Summer and Willow. I quite like Meadow but not sure if it's quite right. Also any boys names that would go with Summer as I can't think of one I like yet!

Not sure it really matters that the dog is called Willow to be honest - a kid would probably quite like that she has the same name as the dog when young 🤣 and I hate to say it but dogs don’t live forever. I also think that once someone is named people just get on when it, you often get two people with the same name after all, even in families.

But if it’s really a no no, then for me Willow has soft graceful vibes- so imo popular Lily or a variant (Lilia?), Cassia or Sylvie come closest in style. Although I do think Meadow works fine too if it’s your 2nd fave.

ETA: For boys Rowan is the obvious one imo (I know it can be used for girls too but it’s far more popular for boys in most places). But I also like more unusual “natural vibe/meaning” ones like Ivo, Orin and Heath.
