Musical themed name for baby girl??

I am prepped for some of you to think it’s silly and hate it, but we have given our kids musical themed names.

DD is named after a Fleetwood Mac song, DS is named after the front man of our favourite band, so it’s not super obvious. Sometimes when DD tells people her name people will say “oh does your mummy like Fleetwood Mac then?” but also I look like I like Fleetwood Mac… wanna be Stevie Nicks vibes. No one has mentioned DS’s name, apart from my family and friends.

I did say we could name her after the other Fleetwood Mac song that’s a girls name… but DP said that’s too much Fleetwood Mac. I kind of get him.

So far some contenders are - Layla, Annie (he really likes this because Annie Lenox and he’s Scottish), I really liked Rosemary but my niece told me that song has recently become a tik tok trend and I don’t want people thinking I named my baby after a tik tok trend.

I’m open to any suggestions though, I really thought she was a boy so we slacked on girls names.

I loved Melody for a girl. Its number 1 on my list. Kinda covers all the songs 😅

Our ds has a name which is a famous singer's surname.. Me and dh have names from songs. Not intentionally..
No harm in connections with songs. Unless sung by Rolf Harris....

I love Eloise - the name and the song.

If Melody is out, I went to school with a Melody who had a sister called Harmony

I always loved the nickname Liddy for Melody, don't know why but that works in my head 🤣 I hate Mel too.

I have a friend who is a huge Fleetwood Mac fan too and she named her little girl Stevie, it suits her so well. I love Aria (musical term referring to a solo melody) or Piper.

Cecelia - Paul Simon - he has said that Cecilia is the goddess of music and creativity and that the bit about her being in bed with someone else is actually about losing the flow of creativity - so not as seedy as it sounds. Other S&G songs include Emily (wherever I may find her) and Kathy's song which is also one of my favourite songs.

Also thank you for your replies everyone. I won’t know what I’m gonna call her till I see her. Was dead set on Stevie for DD but when I looked at her she just wasn’t a Stevie. I know that sounds a bit silly because she was a newborn and they all look a little funny and squished…

I'd go for Sarah for the Thin Lizzy song (my dd actually has it as a middle name).

Op, if there are no favourite singers or songs that you want to nick a name off, I would just go for a name you like. You don't have to name your kids in exactly the same way. Although I'm sure Rhiannon and Jarvis like their names 😁

@Y2ker honestly I’m just a theme person, so is DP, Birthday party? Themed. Decor? Themed. Children’s names? Themed 😂. It’s not that we can’t find any we like it’s that we really want a great one as this is our last child. It’s a little silly but we’re not really serious people.

@LadyMonicaBaddingham this really made me laugh to the point I’m considering it for the fish we plan on getting.
