What do people think of Marnie?

prefer Marina.
I find it lovely, but it's too nickname-y for me.

Without that it is a cute name - but I wouldn’t use it personally

I love the film and it’s a pretty name but it’s now very very trendy (it’s shot up hugely in the past 10 years and is still rising - and although the latest data hasn’t been released yet, it’s likely now in the Top 100 or very close, having had relatively minor use in the past).

If you aren’t bothered about her having a name that will likely date (and many people arent) then I say go for it. If you are worried about that, then consider a longer version with a more classic sounding name like Shakespearean Marina or Austenesque Marianne on the BC (that way you can still call her Marnie but she’s got other options).
