I like Audrey the best.

feelingbleh · 03/06/2025 07:28

What about Aubree

PanderBare · 03/06/2025 07:53

I don't like any of them.

AliBaliBee1234 · 03/06/2025 08:14

Audrey is probably due a comeback!
Not keen on Colette at all

sciaticafanatica · 03/06/2025 08:56

I know a Genevieve. Lovely name.
she does shorten it to eve .

Moreteaandchocolate · 03/06/2025 09:04

I voted for Audrey - it’s got a cool vintage feel to me.

Genevieve - the nn’s Genny / Evie / Neve / Vivi are nice but people might assume they are short for other names or spell them Jenny / Niamh etc. I’m all for an easy life and would get fed up of saying, no not Jenny short for Jennifer etc! A small thing that might not bother you though!

Colette has a pretty sound but feels a bit dated to me.

BeautifulPeopleGo · 03/06/2025 15:15

I don’t like any of them tbh.

Genevieve is probably the most timeless I think - I know both a young and a middle aged one but haven’t met a young Audrey yet (or admittedly any Colette’s). Genevieve also has the most diminutive choice which can be a real bonus as she can make it her own depending on her style - Jen, Jenny, Ginny, Jeanie, Evie, Eve, Neve etc

I can see why you like Audrey though - very retro cool, and Colette is very French chic sounding. But overall I try to think “which might be the easiest to live with?” so for the reasons listed above, I swing towards Genevieve. Maybe if I knew young Audrey’s or Colette’s in RL I’d feel differently.

Not Colette.

Probably Audrey. Maybe not if a vowel initial surname. Genevieve is nice.
