So for those who don't have or don't want any more children. What would you call them if you did?
My husband and I agreed before we found out i couldn't have any:
Boy: Mercury Winston - I resisted Mercury for a long time but he has had his heart set on that name since before he met me, its after a legendary American football player who shares our surname and I have always loved Winston.
Girl: Fuchsia Pearl - Our shared favourite flower and my favourite gem.

I always wanted Amelia (shortened to Millie after my Great Grandmother) as its a family name but he doesn't like it, i also love his family name which is Clarinda but again he doesn't like it. He vetoed all family names as his grandfather was one of 13 and to avoid the 'he's named after so-and-so' stuff his parents chose two names for him that were not already in the family and now he has decided that's a tradition. As a militant atheist he refused any bible names and also any of the eternally popular names, like Matthew, James, Catherine, Elizabeth etc.

Joey for a boy

Aurora for a girl

💕

Seraphina - girl
Josephine - French pronunciation, so wouldn’t work here.

Don’t like nick names.

Jude for a boy
Daisy for a girl

I love Alexander/Maximilian but can't use them because of family members, so probably something like Marcus or Marius (or Quintus if I dared !)

For a girl, Célestine or Séraphine.

Freja and Luke

Meredith or Madeleine or Adelaide or Francesca for girls

Boys... Hmm. River or Zephyr (as they were both my earliest crushes, one an actual classmate and one obviously the actor)

Caro and William

Tabitha or Silas

If I had a second (can't so not happening) a girl would be Harriet (middle name(s) unsure) or a boy would be Christopher William.

I love Arabella (and Bella as a nickname) but I'm not brave enough to use it and Bella is too similar to DD's nickname and they'd sound daft together.

Cocktailsandcheese · 04/06/2025 18:14

If I had another I'd like to name them Holly Rebecca or Noah James

ChocolateCinderToffee · 05/06/2025 21:09

Hortensia Phoebe Sabine

Francis Adam Crispin

It's a good thing I haven't got kids, really.

StretchMarx · 05/06/2025 21:15

Daniel John was our boys' name.

And if it was another girl, DH wanted Sophie and I wanted Joan, but we'd probably compromise with Laura or Emily

Koolandorthegang · 05/06/2025 21:17

Goldie for a girl

I too love Arabella, my hairdressers youngest is called that, but my Mum's cat is called Bella.

Not sure about a boy's name.

If I had another girl (I won't be having any more) it would be either Amelie, Clara or Rosanna.

Amelie Sophia
Clara Primrose
Rosanna Faith
