Are these nice as brothers?
please be honest

Cassius was a name we instantly agreed on and still love to this day (4 years on).
I like Franklin but not as much as Cassius

any other suggestions?

I like Franklin (and Frankie) and think it goes well with Cassius.
Other possibilities…
Cassius and:
Quentin
Rafferty
Austin
Milo
Julian
Hudson

NuffSaidSam · 28/05/2025 16:04

I think they go very well together and I like them both as names in their own right.

Cass and Frankie is very cute.

Both are lovely names.

AllPlayedOut · 28/05/2025 16:41

I really like Cassius but Franklin is awful and I don't think that they go together at all. They’re completely different styles of names imo.

flowerpop · 28/05/2025 17:24

Cassius and Frank go so well together!

pnutter · 28/05/2025 17:24

Hugo and Cassius

Needmorelego · 28/05/2025 17:42

Would Franklin likely end up as Frank/Frankie/Fran?
Because Francis is better (Franklin is too surname).

Emanwenym · 28/05/2025 17:55

I'd think you were keen fans of boxing.

Moreteaandchocolate · 28/05/2025 18:19

Franklin goes well with Cassius.

Ideas

Lucian
Evander
Alistair
Dorian
Darius
Soren
Maxwell
Fabian
Raphael
Ezekiel (Zeke)
Lorenzo (Enzo)
Julian
Elliot
Tristan
Nathaniel
Gabriel

Emanwenym · 28/05/2025 20:08

If you have another DS you could call him Tyson.

WitcheryDivine · 28/05/2025 20:09

I think they work in full but I’m not sure Frank and Cass work.

Ellmau · 28/05/2025 20:27

The combination sounds quite American.

Do you pronounce Cassius Cass-ee-us or Cashus?

Needmorelego · 28/05/2025 20:33

@Emanwenym I'm not getting the boxing link ?

Emanwenym · 28/05/2025 20:43

Cassius Clay (later Muhammad Ali), Frank(lin) Bruno, Tyson Fury

Needmorelego · 28/05/2025 20:47

@Emanwenym oh that went over my head.
It might not be a problem for the two names if other folks don't make that link either.

Maxorias · 28/05/2025 21:00

With a name like Cassius I'd be tempted to pair it with another roman name.

Antony
Roman
Max
Julian
Lucas

Or maybe other ancient names that end with a similar sound :

Mathias
Jonas
Andreas
Alex (ander)

Unfortunately another name in -us probably wouldn't work though I really like Magnus, Marcus, Quintus...

Choppedcoriander · 28/05/2025 21:06

I don’t think they go at all. I’d be really surprised if I came across that combo. Unless you’re boxing fans.

JohnnyLuLus · 28/05/2025 21:07

Yes. Really lovely names.

NearlyThere91 · 28/05/2025 23:22

I don’t think they go. Know it’s popular but Theodore? Has a grand feel about it like Cassius.

House0fBamboo · 28/05/2025 23:30

How about Lennox, Sugar Ray or Barry?

It's awful.
@House0fBamboo , A fellow Andy Williams fan by any chance?

Surely most people would make the link though? I’ve never watched a boxing match in my life but I know the names of the heavyweight world champions. They have celebrity rather than athlete status.

Cassius and not Franklin.
Try ..
Leonard
Dominic
Leopold
Roman
August
Gustav
Xavier
David
Victor
Hugo
Kirk

Velvian · 29/05/2025 06:59

I don't think they go together at all. I'm not a fan of Franklin, it doesn't have a good feel about it.

I agree with pps suggestion that Max would go well.
