Hello! My sons Dylan and Otis have a baby sister coming in September and need some name suggestions. We didn’t intentionally name them after singers!
The one I love is Eliza and the one he loves is Freya. We together some we like Zoë, Naomi, Maeve, Sophie, Effie, Emma, Eloise, Louisa (Lulu),But nothings stuck. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

What about Alberta or Edith?

You seem to like a different kind of name for girls than for boys. I would have expected a Dylan and an Otis to have a sister:
Ruby,
Lola,
Juno,
Vita,
Nova,
Rory,
Gia,
Clio,
Tabitha,
Trixie,
Stevie,
Eva,
Tess,
Margot,
Lara,
Zara,
Zita

Naomi is amazing and one of my tops!

Readytohealnow · 26/05/2025 20:45

Of the both list I would say Maeve or Sophie

Backhometothenorth · 26/05/2025 20:50

Esther
Olive
Etta

Before I read your full post, Eliza sprang to mind as fitting perfectly. Maeve is also nice from your list.

With your boys names, I also like:
Maia
Mara
Zara
Bonnie
Gabrielle
Ava
Sylvie
Betsy
Violet
Posy
Robyn

Emma is my favourite from your original list. Etta is quite fabulous too.

Marlaysydney12 · 26/05/2025 22:04

You've got a cool 60's singer theme there! Possibly unintentionally. I think of Bob Dylan and Otis Reading!
Joni
Lulu
Olivia
Ella
Etta

Ooh I’m going to add Joanie and Etta to the list.
Otis was going to be Olive if he was a girl but my brothers Oliver so felt it’s a bit close!
some others are the same or close to family too (we have big families which doesn’t help 😫)
I love Orla too but my DH does not and also won’t do flower names either 😞. Thank you everyone this is super helpful! Keep em coming 😍

Joni

Yes! Or Judy, Grace, Maddie, Janis, Aretha, Diana!

whatwouldlilacerullodo · 27/05/2025 00:00

Came here to say Janis. The name just came to my mind when I read the title. But Etta is good too.

EconomyClassRockstar · 27/05/2025 00:02

Joni (Mitchell) is a great name but with Otis (Redding) and (Bob) Dylan, it's getting a bit themey. But that doesn't necessarily mean that's a bad theme!

EconomyClassRockstar · 27/05/2025 00:04

Janis is just Janice spelt differently. It doesn't look quite so cool when you think about it.

monktasmic · 27/05/2025 00:11

Rebecca sprang to mind.
