My 3yo and all her friends are obsessed with Frozen. DD wants to be Elsa when she grows up. Every one of her possessions would be Frozen themed if I'd let her get away with it. It's everywhere, and it's persistent- even though the film was a good while ago.

There are also a lot of Ella's and Islas (different pronunciation but visually similar) in that age group just now.

Unless you are actually intending to name her after Queen Elsa, who in fairness is pretty amazing, in which case absolutely, crack on!

I don’t like it much, not because of the film but just don’t like it. I don’t like Eliza as well, I like Ella better but still not my first ten choices.

Love the name Elsa. I know a couple of school-aged Elsas. But think it would have been a lot more popular than it is if the films hadn't come out. Not quite in the category of Alexa or Isis but I do feel like the film impacted its use a lot.

It's clearly a name that comes with significant risk of an annoying song that will haunt the child throughout their lives.
